An amazing man

I knew Michael for about ten years, I think. Mainly I met him at discusssions of sacred books and always he was a full participant. Such a great mind, such an inquisitive, always eager to learn more mind! He brought stimulation to the whole group. After the illness started we didn't see him too much any more. Thankfully, Bobbie kept me informed so I was always with him in prayers and heart. In his last days I was astounded at his strength and endurance and patience with his body. No ranting or apparent anger at what it was doing to him. The real Michael, the spirit and mind, was always there despite all the tubes and goings on. So we know that the real person lives on, only the body is gone, and he can be fully now alive and all love. I was privileged on his last day to be there with a wonderful circle of friends just at the right time. We all anointed him with holy oils and wished him a safe last run into paradise. We told him an honestthank youfor what he had given each of us--everyone, something unique. Then we assured him that Bobbie would be ok and gave her lots of hugs.It was so sacred a moment.I am blessed for having been with him then and with Bobbie and all their friends. Let's carry on now all we have learned from this great teacher, Michael Morris! Rev. Kathy McCarthy
